Introducing tabletop tasks! I love using these tasks to add new activities into the classroom and mix up the way my students work on skills. While these activities align perfectly to Adapted Thematic Packs, each set can also be used on its own. Just pick a theme that matches your classroom or your student’s interests. Check out all of the packs available here and download the free pack, available here!
Tabletop tasks are divided into three separate categories. See below to see all the tasks included in each category!
The first category is magnet activities. I don’t have any other activities using magnets in my classroom so this is such a fun way to present activities. I love magnet activities for my students who like to get up and move-they love a break from their desk. The prep for all of these is simple. Laminate the sheets cut them out and add sticky back magnets.
For the smaller sets, including big/small sort, color sort, item sort, and quantity sort, I just used one magnet per square. For the number puzzles and the titles for the errorless sorts, I used two magnets total (one on each end). Grab magnets here!

These velrco tasks are similar to other tasks my students already use in the classroom. To prep these I laminate and cut out all of the cards. I added soft velcro to the empty boxes in each strip and hard velcro to each piece. Here is my favorite brand from Amazon!

The last category is the clothespin tasks. The initial prep is easy, just laminate and cut out the sheets. Pay close attention to the clothespins when prepping them-for the spelling cards you need to write letters that match each card. I buy my clothespins from the dollar store and use a sharpie to write matching letters and numbers.
I hope your students love tabletop tasks as much as mine do!
